A.R. Henderson
A.R. Henderson (they/them or she/her) is a writer, editor, and researcher working on Ngunnawal country. They completed a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Canberra, where they studied LGBTQIA+ representation in young adult literature. Their short stories have appeared in literary magazines such as SWAMP and #EnbyLife and anthologies including An Unexpected Party (Fremantle Press, 2023). Etta Farnan
Etta Farnan (which is short for Henrietta, which is also long for Henry) writes fiction and sometimes makes zines. They live between Wurundjeri land and Whadjuk Noongar boodja, and she is always thinking about the beach.

Jack Anthony

Jack Anthony (@janthony.writes) is an emerging poet, writer and editor from Meanjin/Brisbane, Australia. His work has been published in anthologies and literary magazines such as Querencia Quarterly, Ink & Inclusion, and Enbylife Journal, among others. When not writing they can be found with their nose in a book, haunting thrift stores and bothering their cat, Jesper.

Jes Layton
Jes Layton (he/him, she/her) is a writer, illustrator and arts worker living and working on Wurundjeri Land. He is the current co-CEO and Executive Director of the Emerging Writers’ Festival. Jes’ written and illustrative work can be found at SBS, Junkee, Voiceworks, Kill Your Darlings, Archer, The Big Issue and scattered elsewhere online and in print. She also has work published with Black Inc, Fremantle Press and Nero Books among others. His tweets have been written about in Teen Vogue, the Daily Mail, Screen Rant, Buzzfeed and more. Exposure was apparently payment.

Kathryn Reese
Kathryn Reese is a poet living on Peramangk land in Adelaide, South Australia. She works in medical science and enjoys solo road trips, hiking and chasing frogs to record their calls for science. Her poems can be found in The Engine Idling, Epistemic Lit, Kelp Journal and Australian Poetry Journal. She was a winner in Red Room Poetry’s #30in30 competition 2024.

Rae White
Rae White is a queer non-binary transgender writer, and author of poetry collections Milk Teeth (UQP 2018) and Exactly As I Am (UQP 2022). Rae was awarded the Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize in 2017 and has been shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, Queensland Literary Awards, and Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards. Their debut picture book All the Colours of the Rainbow, with illustrations by Sha’an d’Anthes, will be published by Lothian/Hachette in January 2025. Rae is the Creative Director and Founder of community poetry initiative Uplift Poetry, and Founding Editor of #EnbyLife, a journal for non-binary and gender diverse creatives. 

Reizor
Reizor (she/they) is a disabled queer settler living on Awabakal Country in so-called australia. They’re an Artist of many crafts and mediums including wood, metal, cloth, and words both spoken and scribbled. Currently she splits her time between writing revolutionary sci-fi tabletop games and crafting utopian space poetry.

Sascha Stronach
Sascha Stronach is a Māori author from the Kāi Tahu iwi and Kāti Huirapa Runaka Ki Puketeraki hapū. She is based in Wellington, New Zealand, and has also spent time in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, which have all inspired parts of the fictional worlds she creates. A former tech writer, she first broke out into speculative fiction by experimenting with the short form. The Dawnhounds, her debut novel, won the Sir Julius Vogel Award at Worldcon 78. The sequel, The Sunforge, is out now.

Seth Malacari
Seth Malacari (he/they) is a nonbinary trans masculine author and editor living on unceded Whadjuk Noongar land. Their first book, An Unexpected Party (2023) was published by Fremantle Press. They are currently undertaking a creative PhD at UWA, researching transmasculine history across twentieth century Australia.

Tegan Webb
Tegan Webb (she/they) is a writer, zine and digital art maker from Naarm. Her work explores themes of connection and creativity in various forms such as zines, games and interactive fiction. They are currently working on a collection of short stories about robots, a bunch of other digital experiments, and at a public library to pay their bills.
